Some moments are hard because they are awkward, not because they are difficult: starting a conversation, saying no, asking for something.

Awkventure turns them into scenes to rehearse with an AI scene partner. Players earn skills and experience as they go, follow paths through a world map, and are then nudged to try the same thing for real.

It is in active development.

There is no public demo yet, and the source is private.

Guide

Reading an entry

Status says how far along the work is: early exploration, in active development, running in production, or archived.

Public detail says how much can be shown. Public source means the code is open and linked. Some entries carry no source link on purpose: work done in private production, or for an organisation, is described at a level that respects its boundaries.

The Details tab lists the entry’s properties in one place: its role, when it started, what it is built with, its topics, and the entries it is related to.

Getting around

The sidebar on the left lists every part of the site. The section you are in opens to show its entries. Collapse it to icons with the button at its foot; the site remembers the choice in this browser.

This panel has a strip of tab icons down its right edge; hover over one for its name. Guide explains the page you are on. Details, where a page has it, lists the properties of what you are looking at. Close the panel to give the page the full width.

Appearance, a tab in this panel, sets the colour theme, text size, density and motion. The choice is saved only in this browser.

Without JavaScript the sidebar stays open and this panel stays at the side with its Guide and Details open. Appearance needs JavaScript, because the choices are saved by the browser.
